I provide reliable, one-to-one care for pets of all kinds in their familiar environment. My aim is to reduce stress and support your pet’s routine, especially for pets that need extra love & time with change.

House Visits

I can visit your home to feed, walk, and spend time with your pets. Perfect for busy workdays, evenings out, or short trips when you just need a helping hand.

Holiday Sitting

Your pets stay in their own environment while I stay overnight. Ideal for holidays or longer trips - your pets get one-on-one attention from someone they know.

Meet & Greet

I offer a paid meet and greet so your pet can get to know me. For nervous or rescue animals, I can provide additional visits or overnight trials to help build trust at their pace.

"Claire does a great job looking after our dog in our home when we go on holiday. Claire has a calm presence - Paddy is always pleased to see her and he seems to be very relaxed and happy while we are away. The house is clean and tidy when we get home. Excellent"

Rebecca

"I have used Claire twice as a house sitter to look after our dogs, poultry and garden whilst we were away on holiday. Claire was very friendly, flexible and accommodating. The dogs really took to her and I would not hesitate to ask her to look after them again."

Pat

"She looked after my little boy biscuit whilst we went away on holiday over the Easter . Such a lovely woman and a fantastic service. Felt really comfortable leaving my dog with her as he was so happy confident with her. Will be using her again xxx"

Why choose home-based pet sitting instead of kennels or catteries?

Staying at home is far less stressful for your pet. They keep their routine, sleep in their own bed, and enjoy one-to-one attention. No noisy kennels, just calm, familiar surroundings.

What kind of pets do you look after?

I care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, tortoises and other small animals. If you have a less common pet, just ask, I’ll always do my best to accommodate!

Do you offer a meet and greet?

Yes, I always do a meet and greet before your first booking. It’s a chance for us to chat, and for your pet to get to know me in a relaxed way.

Can you give my pet medication?

Yes, I’m experienced with administering oral meds and some injections. Just let me know the details when you enquire.

What are your prices?

Every pet and household is unique, so I don’t publish a one-size-fits-all price list. Instead, I create tailored packages based on your pet’s needs, routine, and care requirements.

Please get in touch to discuss your pet and I’ll be happy to provide a personalised quote.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This ensures your dates are reserved exclusively for you and your pet.

This would need to be paid 12 weeks prior to your booking start date. If your booking starts in less than 12 weeks a deposit is required at time of booking.

If your plans change unexpectedly, I’m always happy to discuss flexible options where possible.

Will I get updates while I’m away?

Of course! I’ll send regular photos, videos or messages so you can relax, knowing your pet is content and cared for.

What else do you do while pet sitting?

Alongside caring for your pet, I’m happy to bring in post, water plants, put the bins out and keep an eye on your home so it looks lived in while you’re away. It’s all part of keeping things safe and stress-free.

CHRISTMAS

DID YOU KNOW?

According to the Veterinary Poisons Information Service, they have already started receiving enquiries involving various festive plants this year. Here is a summary of the species they have most commonly receive calls about:

? Holly - (Ilex aquifolium) Holly can cause – in dogs - hypersalivation, vomiting, inappetence, diarrhoea, lethargy and depression. Animals may also shake their head and smack their lips. Choking on the stiff leaves is also a potential hazard.

? Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) Poinsettia has the reputation of being a toxic plant, but this has been greatly exaggerated. It can cause irritation to the mouth and stomach with hypersalivation and sometimes vomiting.

? Mistletoe (Viscum album) The plant is considered to be of low toxicity. It is likely that reports of alarming effects refer to American mistletoe (Phoradendron flavescens) and not European mistletoe (Viscum album). Ingestion of the berries of European mistletoe may cause gastrointestinal upset.

? Christmas Trees - These trees are considered to be of low toxicity. Ingestion may cause a mild gastrointestinal upset and they could cause mechanical obstruction or physical injury (some needles are sharp).

? Ivy (Hedera species) The ivy used in wreaths and decorations is Hedera helix (not Toxicodendron radicans, the American poison ivy). Ivy may cause gastrointestinal upset when ingested. Where there is significant or prolonged skin contact, Hedera species can cause both irritant and allergic contact dermatitis.

? Lilies (Lilium species) Many households will have lilies at Christmas, and all parts of this plant, even the pollen, are extremely toxic to cats and cause severe kidney damage. Lilies are not hazardous to dogs and may cause only mild gastrointestinal upset if ingested.
